Contract Negotiations
For more than a decade, attorneys at C&A have drafted, negotiated, and litigated the terms of contracts for owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers. During that time, C&A has gained a valuable understanding of the different approaches to difficult terms that create a path forward for all those involved. This approach has allowed for projects to proceed with the client’s risk properly addressed at the outset while effectively limiting project disruptions and delays.
The contract work of C&A has involved everything from manuscripted forms to those commonly seen in the industry, including those from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC), ConsensusDocs, and the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). Along with the standard construction and design documents, the attorneys at C&A are familiar with lender consents, access agreements, easements, licenses, crane swing agreements, and staging area agreements.
